The Knox County Commissioners

My roots go deep in Knox County. My grandparents lived and worked here. My father, Harry Pursel, worked as the REA Express agent here in Mount Vernon. My mother, Lavonne Pursel, worked for Ron Gaines at Gaines Produce.

Teresa Bemiller’s public service career began in 1979 at the Knox County Clerk of Courts Office. Appointed Clerk in 1983, she went on to be elected to three four-year terms.

– 35 years – Self Employed
– Speaking/Consulting and Real Estate/Property Management
– Mount Vernon City Council: January 2000 – September 2000
