Veterans

Priority of Service

Veterans are treated with courtesy and respect at all OhioMeansJobs Centers across the State and are given Priority of Service in referrals to job openings and other services.

The OhioMeansJobs Knox County job center is a Comprehensive One-Stop with a state Disabled Veterans Outreach Program (DVOP) representative on-site. We encourage all veterans and their spouses to complete a veteran questionnaire screening tool to assist us in determining immediate eligiblity for DVOP services. Regardless of eligiblity for DVOP sevices, at the OhioMeansJobs Knox County job center, veterans and their spouses may receive services including job referrals, agency referrals, barrier elimination, *training, and career guidance.

*eligibility applies

Additional local resources are available to veterans through The Knox County Veterans Service Office located at 105 East Chestnut Street, Mount Vernon. The Veterans Services Office can be reached by telephone at 740-393-6742 or click HERE to visit them on the web.
