No-Till Drills: 3 Units

Cost- $10.00 per meter acre
Drill Rental Application
The above application needs to be completed before a drill can be rented.

The John Deere 1590 No-till Drill: 2 Units

– Ideal for forage grass and grain plantings.
– Drill is 10 feet long
– Pin or clevis hitch
– Full hydraulics
– Drill is equipped with a Forage Seed Bin and a Grain Seed Bin

The Truax Flex II No-till Drill: 1 Unit

– Ideal for warm season grass and pollinator plot plantings.
– Drill is 10 ft wide with an 8 inch row spacing.
– The dolly wheel assembly allows for easy transport behind a suitably equipped vehicle. The maximum towing speed is 20 mph.
– Pin hitch
– Depth control is non-adjustable and and automatically set by the coulter assembly on the drill.
– Tractor requirements:
55 hp or larger
Minimum tractor weight of 6,000 lbs
Equipped with two pairs of hydraulic remote connectors (4 total) that can be operated in tandem
– Drill is equipped with 3 seed boxes: small grain/soybean box warm season grass (fluffy seed) box grass/legume small seed box
*Due to the nature of the materials being seeded in many wildlife/wildflower/food plot settings it is highly recommended that the unit be calibrated for your specific seed mix. The SWCD staff can aid in drill calibration.

Tree Planters: 2 Units

Cost – $25.00 per day, no deposit.
Return as soon as possible.
A $50 fee will be assessed if the planter is not reasonably cleaned off of mud and debris upon being returned.

The above application needs to be completed before the Tree Planter can be rented. Please call the office or email a staff member for further information.

PlotMaster 400: 1 Unit

Cost – $35.00 per day, $200 refundable deposit contingent on return of PlotMaster in good working condition.

Dibble Bars: 5 Units

Cost – There is no rental charge or deposit for the dibble bar.
If the dibble bar is not returned there will be a charge of $100.00. The dibble bar can be kept for 4 days.

Tour Wagon: 1 Unit (20 Adult Capacity)

Cost – $50 per day, no deposit. Wagon is free of charge for local not-for-profit entities, schools, and cooperating government or conservation partners.

Soil Sample Probe: 2 Units

Cost – There is no rental charge or deposit for the Soil Sample Probe. If the Soil Sample Bar is not returned there will be a charge of $100.00. The Soil Sample Probe can be kept for 4 days.
